Stauffer Laboratory of Behavioral Neurophysiology

Go deep, or go home...

Our lab specializes in how the brain gives rise to the mind. Specifically, we study neural circuits that respond to, and generate, aspects of our subjective mental narrative - including values, emotions, and decisions.

We are committed to achieving deep insights that span multiple 'levels of understanding' - from goals, to algorithms, to cell type specific implementations.
